Consent to Use Photographs and Videos Online and in Publications
At ReConnect 1-1, we are proud to celebrate the achievements and activities of the individuals we work with through various platforms. To keep a record and report on their achievements and progress, we use photographs to document their journey using portfolios. Also to keep our community informed and to showcase the dynamic experiences we provide, we occasionally use photographs and videos of our students in our publications, on our website, and on social media. This helps us share the unique learning and mentoring environment at ReConnect 1-1 and to celebrate the progress and successes of our students.
In accordance with data protection law, we require parental consent to use photographs or videos of students in this way until they reach the age of 13. From age 13, students have the right to withdraw any previously given consent, provided they understand the implications of doing so.
Your Options
You are under no obligation to provide consent. If you choose not to give consent for any or all of the uses outlined below, we will ensure your child’s photograph or video is not used in those contexts if they can be identified from the image. Please discuss your decision with your child if you choose not to give consent.
There may be occasions when we use images of students for purposes that do not require consent because there is a legal basis for doing so, such as maintaining a database for identification purposes. For more details, please refer to our privacy policy available on our website.
Duration of Consent
Your consent will remain valid for the duration of your child’s placement at ReConnect 1-1. You may withdraw or change your consent at any time by emailing us at admin@reconnect1-1.com. If you withdraw consent, we will stop using your child’s photograph or video for the specified purposes, but a copy may still need to be retained for legal or administrative reasons.
